My mantra: the hallmark of a great leader is not how they shine in times of comfort, but how they stand strong in times of turmoil.
In my career I faced both, positive and challenging situations: business momentum with (hyper)growth and the complete opposite, to restructure business when it does not develop as expected.
My passion is to lead companies and enable them to grow and to tap their full potential. My leadership track record is based on a strong focus on unleashing growth and the potentials of transformations — but also to rearrange business that is stuck due to several reasons. Digital Transformation affects all industries, regardless of whether the business models are from old or new economy.
It is my firm belief that Digital Transformation begins with a willingness to change current mindsets — that means it is necessary to understand the potential and urgency of Digital Transformation within companies. The entire organization needs to be convinced that Digital Transformation also means cultural change from head to toe.
It changes the way we think, how we build products and in addition, the needs and buying behavior of our customers change, too. Only with this understanding, modern leaders can guide their organizations through the digital challenge. Therefore, I devoted my entire career and university education to gain pertinent skills needed for those digital challenges.
In addition, Sustainability is not just a trend or an elephant in the room anymore. It is — next to Digital Transformation — one of the key differentiating factors for organizations in the future. The combination of both, digital technology capabilities to drive sustainability, i.e., in the field of energy efficiency will be a key driver to a) make use of top-notch tech and b) use its effects to dramatically improve sustainable value added.
This leads to a twin transformation approach when both transformation waves — digital and sustainable — merge both to an interlinked model: Digitainability!
